This course is designed to teach certified divers how to safely utilize side-mounted primary Cylinders as an alternative to the traditional back-mounted configuration. The course is strictly non decompression with a maximum depth limit of 40 meter, or within the limit of the student’s current certification, whichever is shallower.

SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent.

What Skills Will You Learn?

In the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course, you will gain knowledge and experience in:

Plan dive and Familiarization with area

Test and check all equipment (depth gauges, bottom timers/watches and computers)

Descend to planed depth and not exceed any pre-planned limits

Demonstrate the ability to safely manage gas in independent cylinders

Monitor depth/time/air consumption, figure all times on slate

Demonstrate ability to control buoyancy and Attaching sidemount cylinders while

If you’re interested in buying your own scuba gear, we offer special discounts for students on high-quality equipment.

Is the SDI Open Water certification accepted worldwide?

Yes, all SDI certifications are recognized worldwide. Once certified, you can dive in various locations, but your maximum depth limit will depend on your training level. Open Water Divers can typically dive up to 18 meters (60 feet).
