What is Sport Diving?
Sport diving originally refers to a type of scuba diving limited to a maximum depth of 40 meters, with no penetration into overhead environments such as caves or sunken wrecks. Sport divers always dive with a buddy or team, ensuring direct access to the surface throughout the dive.
Typically, beginners start with the Ocean Water Diver course and can progress to Divemaster or even Instructor levels, which allow them to teach others how to scuba dive. For those looking for more challenges and experience, specialty diving courses are available, covering topics from advanced buoyancy and underwater navigation to deeper dives and wreck diving.
